The Piano Works Farringdon | January 2018

For my boyfriend's 21st Birthday, his friends and I decided to take him to The Piano Works in Farringdon, London. He is interested in all things music, and so we saw this as a perfect fit! We got there for the last part of happy hour (5pm-7pm if you fancy), which included 2-for-1 cocktails...yes please! We then stayed till late dancing and drinking the night away.

This is by far one of the coolest bars I have visited. There are song request napkins floating about on the bar and around the room on tables, which you can jot down a song you think the musicians should play, hand it to the guy next to the stage and wait for them to preform your song. For the beginning portion of the evening it was two pianists, taking it in turn to play the requests. As the night got later more musicians began to join the stage.

I have to note that if you wish to eat here or generally enjoy the venue from being sat down, its a smart idea that you either arrive early, or you book a table. We got there at around 6:30 and it was already very busy, and continued to get more so as the night went on, it's clearly a popular place!
